Tanjung Benoa  Once a preserve of coconut groves, this scenic five-kilometer peninsula has transformed into a charming resort area of luxury hotels, private villas, open-air cafes, fine restaurants and an abudance of water-sport facilities. On the peninsula's tip, Tanjung Benoa retains a remarkable village-like atmosphere. Distinctly multi-cultural, its is fascinating to explore the lively alleyways of a real Burgis village, or peek into a scarlet-red and gold Chinese Buddhist temple, or stroll along the beach southeast of benoa past rows of painted Balinese outriggers pulled up on shore.
